The benefits of forest school for your child
Our Forest School activities encourage interactions with the world and others around them. Taking the children to the woodland is a great way for them to learn new experiences where we encourage them to explore, play games and learn about the outdoors. During Forest School we partake in many different activities including changing of the seasons, exploring safe boundaries, cooking on an open fire, whittling, sawing, chopping and much more. We want children to practice and learn taking acceptable risks and understand their own limits.

We provide unique, magical experiences for all children with meaningful intent behind everything we do. Investing time and providing new opportunities in our daily provision.
The lost tradition of using authentic resources is not lost on us. As part of daily provision at Kids Capers, our woodwork activities are far more valuable than plastic, purpose built toys. Our children are learning rules, boundaries, safety, techniques, building confidence, bringing their ideas to life and so much more.
If you feel your child would enjoy the extraordinary instead of the ordinary, contact us and find out if we have availability
Our children can go from idea to implementation, using woodwork skills to create anything they put their mind to
The children collected natural resources during a woodland walk to create their own transport using woodwork
While the use of certain tools may seem like a worrying concept, it is as simple as setting boundaries, trusting our children and having a forest school trained practitioner on hand to safely guide
